Description

Balance is compromised by many reasons - this class will address the various reasons why and a means to restore a sense of full body awareness through simple movements. Classes are on March 9, March 16, March 23 and April 6. Please come for all the sessions if you schedule allows or attend any one of them. The slow, flowing motions of tai chi train you to shift your weight while maintaining your balance. Tai chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that can help older adults improve their balance and lower their fall risk. And by reducing their risk of falls, seniors can lower their odds of suffering a debilitating fracture. Ramona is graciously donating all of her class fees to the Community Center. Thank you, Ramona! Meets: Thursdays, March 9, 16, 23, and April 6 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Instructor: Ramona McNeal Location: Highlander Room
